With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence R. Bendes (Bay City, Michigan), who passed away on November 9, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Bendes and Anna Bendes (Pirochta); his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Bendes (Jarvis); his sister Helen Bendes; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Jarvis and Kathleen Planer.

He is survived by : his children, Cindy Carr (Mike), Debra Bendes, Mary Jo Callaghan (Ed), Bruce Bendes (Caren) and Teresa Morand (Don); his grandchildren, Elisabeth Carr, Viktoria Carr, Korri Hendrickson (Heather), Kristin Krawczak, Stephanie Espinosa (Raul), Jennifer Edsall (Jaren), Jessica Callaghan, Brock Bendes, Callie Bendes, Rebecca Morand, Alec Morand and Jacob Morand; and his sister-in-law Jackie Prevost.

In lieu of flowers, those planning a memorial donation in Larry's name are asked to consider Cardinal Hospice, Brian's House, or Our Lady of Peace Parish Food Pantry.
