She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Polasky and Rose Polasky (Schiff); her husband Sandy; her granddaughter Heidi Vitti; and her brothers, Frank Polasky and Robert Schiff.

She is survived by : her children, Richard Alan Smith of Saginaw, Steven Mark Smith (Kim) of Birmingham and Nancy Faye Miller (James) of Crescent, Iowa; her granddaughters, Bethany Anne Miller and Katherine Rose Hawk IV (Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Winter "Winnie", Archie and Jay; and her sister Linda Park. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
