He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore R. Freemire and Freida Mae Freemire (Hammond); and his siblings, Sandra Lambert and Willard Freemire. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kahler; his children, Shannon Ufkes (Todd) and John Freemire (Monica); his grandchildren, Dylan Freemire (Caitlin Bullman), Taylor Freemire (Greyson Granger), Abigail Sensky (Tyler), Zachary Ufkes, Morgan Freemire (Tyler Farnham) and Thomas Freemire; and his sister Joanna Hall.

“I remember working with Ron and I respected his drive to assist his clientele and he had a clear plan as to how he would do so. One of his supervisor's once said Ron had "missionary zeal" (Terry Burge). We laughed, but it was true. It was great playing tennis with Ron that a group of us rehab types did on a weekly basis for years. Ron was always welcoming and generous in inviting myself and others either to his house or cottage on Sage Lake. I am very saddened by his passing. Bill L.”
