He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hildinger and Effie Hildinger (Allen); his brother James Hildinger (Karen); his grandchildren, Ryan Hildinger and Hailee Friedle; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Derwinski, Janice Umphrey and Frances Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Joan C. Derwinski; his sons, Raymond Hildinger (Cindy), John Hildinger (Stephanie), Dennis Hildinger (Angela), Tim Hildinger (Penny) and Todd Umphrey (Trisha); and his brother Allen Hildinger (Nancy). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trahan Funeral Chapel (256 N Madison Ave, Bay City, MI 48708). A vigil service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (614 Pine St, Essexville, MI 48732).
The family suggests donations in Ron's memory to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish.
