She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley and Mary Jane Pennell (Fleming); her husband Norman Smith; her nieces and nephews, Craig, Holli Bishop, William (Dennis), Steven and Chris Szafranski; her sister Marilyn Bishop; her siblings-in-law, Frank Bishop, Ron, Bill, Loren, Tom Smith and Liz Peterson; and her nephew Scott Smith.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Marge Smith and Jeannine Smith; her nieces, Amy Weaver, Julie Bishop and Debbie; and her caregivers, Larry and Michelle Campau.
