Stephen R. Schmidt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen R. Schmidt of Bay City, Michigan, born in Waterford, Michigan, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Bert Schmidt and Dolores Schmidt (Karpen); his daughter Tessa Lynn; his siblings, Carol Colbert and Robert Schmidt; and his father-in-law James "Percy" VanWormer.

He is survived by : his wife Kathe VanWormer; his children, Jason Schmidt (Lexi) and Emma Schmidt; his grandchildren, Finley, Riese, Stetson and Bristol Schmidt; his brothers, Mike Schmidt (Terry) and Jim Schmidt (Rhonda); and his mother-in-law Patsy VanWormer. He is also survived by one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews and friends.
