He is survived by: his sons, Carlos Laverty (Natalie) and Tomas Laverty (Analena); his grandchildren, Sarah Laverty, Brennan Simon, Leanna Lykins, Jayna Lykins, Tomas Laverty, Francisco Laverty, Hope Dietzel and Destiny Dietzel; his siblings, William Laverty (Donna), Robert Laverty (Gloria Johnson) and Betty Lou Hickey (Timothy); and his friend Mark Shreve. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
