He was predeceased by: his mother Clara Pennell (Rybak); his wife Lois Marie Sinn; his granddaughter Lauren Haynes; and his siblings, Bev Doan (Carl), Sharon Bishop (Gary), Terry Pennell (Mary), Mary Niedzwiecki and Penny Nuechterlein (Ron).
He is survived by: his father Hamilton Pennell; his children, Kristin Haynes (Don) of Essexville, Brad Pennell of Bay City and Jeff Pennell (Wendy) of Hermitage, TN; his grandchildren, Madeline Haynes, Emma Haynes, Chloe Kaul (Silas) and Lincoln Pennell; and his brother-in-law Gene Niedzwiecki. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trahan Funeral Chapel (256 N Madison Ave, Bay City, MI 48708). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Charitable contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
