It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter J. Gorney (Bay City, Michigan), who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter J. Gorney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Casimer Gorney and Isabelle Gorney (Stefaniak); his wife Mitzi Rose Hickerson; his brother Melvin Gorney; and his siblings-in-law, Laila Gorney and Hugh Karp.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda McKenna (Michael) of Bay City, Debra Miller of Des Plaines, IL and Sandra Theisen of Waterford; his grandson James Sherwood (Jennifer); his great grandchild Madeline Rose; his grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Sherwood, Jessica Miller, Cameron Miller, Aubrey Morse (Matthew), Savannah Kate Theisen and Carrigan Theisen (Emrik VanderMark); his siblings, Casimer Donald Gorney and Patricia Karp; and his caregivers, Michelle, John, Crystal, Kim and Walter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
