William E. Sharrow Jr. Obituary
William Eugene Sharrow, Jr., a talented artist, wood carver, and devoted family man, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at McLaren Bay Region, surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years old.
Born on November 24, 1959, in Bay City, MI, to the late William E. and Joan C. (Turmell) Sharrow, Sr., William graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1978. He dedicated over 40 years of service to the maintenance department at Bangor Downs. William also owned and operated Wes Wood and Leather, where he crafted beautiful purses, bags, belts, wall art, and wood carvings. His artistic talents were boundless, creating birdhouses, carved maps of the United States, and various characters. He was also a passionate rock collector, polishing and tumbling rocks to create stunning jewelry. William liked riding his Harley Davidson along with participating in and supporting various charity runs and bike shows.
William is survived by his four children: Nicole K. Lopez, Shana L. (Richard) Brewster, Stephanie L. Cramer, and Brett W. Sharrow (Kayla D. Mayer); his significant other of 23 years, Marion Rodenberry; grandchildren: Raymond, Shaleigh, Alyssa (John), Ruby, Henry, Paige, Gemma, Liam, Charlotte, Rose, Benjamin, Bruce, and Brooklyn; two great-grandchildren, Vivianna and Ellouise; sisters: Peggy M. (Terry) Horner, Christine K. Burch, and Heather E. Johnson; stepmother Debbie Sharrow; stepsister Angela M. Silva; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Joan.
William's legacy of creativity, dedication, and love will be cherished by all who knew him.
Per William's request cremation will take place. No visitation or services are planned to be held at Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706. The family will have a Celebration of Life for William later in the summer. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to "Family Wishes" in care of Nicole Lopez.
