He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Leuenberger and Mildred Leuenberger (Colbeck); his son Michael Leuenberger; his grandson Canvas Watson; his brother Stephen Leuenberger (Sharon); and his in-laws, Lloyd Ulrich, Frank Ulrich (Lillian), Don Ulrich (JoAnn), Verna (John), Smith Bublitz (Vern) and Robert Petsch.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Ulrich; his sons, Mark Leuenberger (Sandy) and Todd Leuenberger (Connie); his daughter-in-law Gail Leuenberger; his grandchildren, Brennan, Daniel, Gavin, Colbeck and Brooke Smith (Travis); his great grandchild Rebekah Smith; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Petsch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (1600 Dale Rd, Beaverton, MI 48612). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, and Hospice of Gladwin.
