He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley McMahan and Bertha McMahan (Morris); his wife Barbara Holmes (Burt); and his daughter Christie Machinski. He is survived by: his children, Randy Holmes (Denise), Peggy Hendricks, Ron Holmes and Mark McMahan. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
