He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis William Tolly and Anna Marie Tolly (Rogers); his son James Tolly Jr.; his wife Bonnie Aryn Guernsey; and his siblings, Ann Mishler, DeWitt, John, Milton and Richard Tolly.
He is survived by: his brother Lowell (Ann) of Midland; his grandchildren, Paul Scoby (Sarah) of Mount Pleasant, Laura Schlaud (Donald) of Merrill, Karen Tary (James) of Muskegon and Andrew Tolly of Warren; and his great grandchildren, Brenton Scoby, Anna Scoby of Mount Pleasant, Paige Schlaud, Benjamin Schlaud of Merrill and Celeste Tary of Muskegon.
Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Beaverton Baptist Church.
