He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Roehrs and Jacqueline Roehrs (Brown). He is survived by: his siblings, Greg (Jeannette), Jeff (Tammy) and Kelly Parks (Barbara); his wife Cathy; his children, Jennifer Roehrs (Jay Tucker), Eric Roehrs (Jessi) and Kristi Owens (Justin); his grandchildren, Steven Roehrs (Shelby), Christian Grew (Erica), Monica Grew, Orion Grew (Allisa), Landen, Murphy and Zella Owens; and his great grandchildren, Lilliana, Castiel, Emersyn, Finnley, Carly and Cody Grew.
A memorial gathering was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Beaverton Lions Building (142 Saginaw St, Beaverton, MI 48612). The military honors was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 171.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Rod's memory to the Toni & Trish House in Auburn, Michigan, in gratitude for the exceptional care they provided him, or to the University of Michigan Sarcoma Research Fund.
