It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Jay Phillips of Beaverton, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Thomas may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Phillips and Rita Phillips (Hausmann); his sister Shirley Wright; and his brother-in-law Charles Wright. He is survived by: his children, Tracy, Tony Sovey of Vernon, Jay and Kim Phillips of Roscommon; his grandson Jakob Phillips (Nadine) of Corunna; and the mother of his children Virginia Caterer. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
