He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Garland and Glena Garland (Pratt); and his siblings, Richard Garland, George Garland Jr. and Janice Garland Whitcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Jean Hatch; his children, Paul Garland (Emily) of Ludington, Cathy Schnicke (Jonathan) of Belding and Debra Garland of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Isaac Schnicke (Kara), Lauren Heiden (Jackson), Jeffrey Garland (Justice), Julia Schnicke, Matthew Garland and Aaron Schnicke; and his siblings, James Garland (Kerry) and Barbara Dobbins.
