Marion Belding Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Marion Belding (Belding, Michigan), whose life came to an end on July 20, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Marion Belding to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Geister and Elizabeth Geister (Szemrady); her husband Hubert Belding; her sons, Leroy Belding and Benjamin Belding; and her siblings, Clarence, Holly, Ethel, Carol and Maxine.

She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Thomas of St. Augustine, Frank Belding (Julie) of Belding and Penni Laisure of Belding; and her siblings, Robert Geister (Marion) and Shirly Whisman. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oakwood Christian Reformed Church (8750 Storey Rd, Belding, MI 48809).

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be given in Marion's memory to the Alvah N. Belding Library or to the Belding Museum.
