He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Barger and Charlotte Barger (Harriman); his wife Kathryn; his daughter Tammy; and his siblings, Lyle Barger, Helen Piper and Ruth Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Nichols (Bill) of Manistee, Michigan, Dave Barger (Elizabeth) of New Bern and Gordon Barger; and his grandchildren, Andy Barger (Brenda), Jason DuMond (Jenny Ladema), Dan Barger (Chantel), Heather Gunther (Matt), Kelly VanGemert (Bruce) and Jessica Brakora (Clint LeaTrea). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shiloh Community Church and envelopes will be available at the church.
