He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Muma and Josephine Muma (DeVerney); his son Scott Muma; and his siblings, Donald "Sonny" Muma, Wilfrieda "Sis" Somerville, Gertrude "Gertie" Behling, Alfred "Al" Muma, Arlene "Vickie" Moore, Lottie McCaslin, Diane Bard, Rodney Muma and William "Billy" Muma.

He is survived by: his children, Arthur Griffis of Sacramento, CA, Andre Griffis (Nordia) of Traverse City, Anthony Griffis of Nashville, TN and Allin Griffis (Tashia) of Traverse City; and his siblings, Stephen Muma (Sharon) of Monroe, MI, Patrick Muma (Judy) of East Jordan, Doug Muma of Kipling, MI, Nina Hawver of Mancelona and Gayla Grocholski of Mancelona. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
