He was predeceased by : his parents, Andy Horner and Gladys Horner (Mobley); his brother Doyle "Wayne" Horner; his great grandchild Oaklynn Hill; his stepson Ronald Bean; his niece Sheila Runyon; and his nephew Marc Waterbury.

He is survived by : his children, Karen Wilks (Dave) of Bellaire, David Horner (Barb) and Heather Powers (Mike); his sister Sharon Waterbury; his stepdaughter Charlene Bean-Bridson; and his stepdaughter-in-law Tonya Bean. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mortensen Funeral Homes (106 S Bridge St, Bellaire, MI 49615). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
