It is with sadness that the passing of Sarah Suzanne Ottgen of Bellaire, Michigan is shared. Sarah, born on April 12, 1942, passed away on September 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rolland Roy and Sara Emily Lessard (Berg); her former husband Ralph Schwabe; her husband Dolph Max Ottgen; her stepdaughter Tonda Watrous; her grandson Zachary Schwabe; and her siblings, Robert "Bob" Lessard, Charles "Butch" Lessard, Lucille Ferstle, Marjorie Ruppenthal, Theresa "Pepper" VanHouten and Josephine Parker.
She is survived by: her sons, Carl Schwabe (Trish), Craig Schwabe (Sheila) and Benjamin Ottgen (Josephine); her son-in-law Andy Watrous; her grandchildren, Neal (Samantha), Alex, Adam, Caroline (Pat), Jeremy, Gracen (Mason), Maggie, Ethan, Samantha (Darin), Kristofer, Penelope, Nikki and Brooke (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Hank, Braxton, Sawyer, Waylon, Birdie, Casper, Colson, Isabella, Roman, Cooper, Graham, Lincoln, Dexter and Violet; and her sister Cathie McAtee.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bellaire Senior Center (308 E Cayuga St, Bellaire, MI 49615).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her memory to the Grass River Natural Area Inc. PO Box 231, Bellaire, MI 49615. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
