He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shooks and Joanna Shooks (Keizer). He is survived by: his wife Linda Dingman; his children, Marcy Matson-Herrington (Brian) and Jeff Shooks (Laura); his sisters, Jan Dean (Paul) and Kathryn Boss; his siblings-in-law, John Dingman (Cathy) and Patricia Shooks; his grandchildren, Zachary Wayne Daniel Matson (Najma), Tyler Matson (Julia), Melissa Bloodgood (Paul), Connor Herrington (Joanna) and Cameron Herrington; his great grandchild Iris Bloodgood; his brother James Shooks; his brother-in-law Nathan Boss; his brother Karl; and his sister-in-law Kathy Dingman (Thomas). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Southern Cemetery (1412 M-88, Bellaire, MI 49622).
