“Hi. I met Alferth in Aug of 2021, at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. I am a volunteer there. I never got to know Alferth very well, since he was sleeping usually when I came around. But I did speak to him sometimes and told him one time that he was SO polite!! It seemed to embarrass him a little, but he smiled. I will miss him, but I am also VERY glad that I did have the honor of meeting him, and giving him candy. Judy S.”
