With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alice M. Payne of Belleville, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alice left this world on September 17, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Ivan and Helen Louisa Snyder (Craine); her husband Dean M. Payne; her sister Jane Whitner; and her son-in-law David Purdue.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Purdue of Owosso, MI, Robert Payne (Joannie) of Belleville, MI and Nancy Mitchell (Robert) of Waterford, MI; her grandchildren, Beth Desch (Steve), Mathew Purdue, Ryan Payne (Lizzie), Sean Payne (Nicole) and Kira Mitchell; and her sisters, Mary Cepko (Rudy) of Novi, MI and Carol Foote of Waldridge, Ohio. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, former students, church friends, and neighbors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the FUMC Food Pantry and would be greatly appreciated, and would honor Alice's big and selfless heart by helping those in need in our community.
