He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignace "Barney" Ban and Julia Ann Ban (Varga); his son David Ban; and his sisters, Rose Marie Banotai, Wilma Blandino and Mildred Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Ban (Deming); his son Matthew Ban; his grandchildren, Austin, Arianna and Seth Ban; and his sister Helen Deming.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the David C. Brown Funeral Home (460 E Huron River Dr, Belleville, MI 48111). A prayer will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the River of Life Church (16650 Sumpter Rd, Belleville, MI 48111).
Memorial contributions may be made to River of Life Church, Angela Hospice, or VFW Post #4434 through the PLAV #167, and would be appreciated by the family.
