She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Olsen and Elly Olsen (Christiansen); her husband Frank John Merritt; her brother Billy M. Olsen; and her son-in-law Ricky Bess.
She is survived by: her children, Toni Merritt Bess and Norman Martin Merritt (Jane) of Mountain Rest, SC; her grandson Michael Norman Bess (Kelsey) of Saginaw, MI; and her great grandchildren, Charlie Michelle and Ava Antoinette. She is also survived by many friends and neighbors.
