He is survived by: his significant other Sharron; his children, Dr. Tobi Yvette Russell of Rochester Hills and Daniel Russell (Shay) of Clarkston, Michigan; his grandchildren, Daniel Jr. of Clarkston, Kobi of Clarkston, Jordyn of Clarkston, Kayla of Clarkston, Jeremiah Russell of Clarkston and Devyn (Ben) of Grand Blanc, Michigan; his brothers, Gregory Russell (Rita) of Detroit, Michigan and Michael Russell (Shelle) of Detroit, Michigan; and his cousin James Rhodes (Rocky) of Detroit, Michigan.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
