She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar E. Halverson and Virginia G. Whitehead; her brother Bryan Whitehead; her son-in-law Michael Weiss; the father of her children Louis Hancotte; and also Phyllis Hancotte.
She is survived by : her husband Peter Pitzen II; her children, Jon Hancotte (Kendra) of Battle Creek, MI, Amanda Anderson of Holly, MI and Andrea Weiss of Grayling, MI; her stepchildren, Peter Pitzen III of Chelsea, MI, Andrew Pitzen of Olympia, WA, Mark Pitzen of Grafton, OH, Matthew Pitzen (Cathy) of Loxley, AL, Barbara Cassidy (James) of Menomonee Falls, WI and Michael Pitzen of Saginaw, MI; her grandchildren, Nikolas Hancotte (Monica), Danielle Anderson, Dustin Anderson, Krista Hancotte (Collin), Benjamin Anderson, Mollie Binert, Zora Binert and Phoebe Binert; her stepgrandchildren, Peter Pitzen IV (Andrea), Heather Cassidy, Andrea Pitzen, Gunnar Pitzen, Cody Pitzen, Brendan Pitzen and Ashton Pitzen; her great grandchildren, Peter Pitzen V, Trinity Pitzen and Alex Hancotte; and her siblings, Gary Halverson of Winter Haven, FL, Suzanne MacKay of Troy, MI, Leonard Whitehead of Belleville, MI, Gene Whitehead of Wayne, MI, Kevin Whitehead (Carol) of Belleville and Elayne Taylor (Gene) of Belleville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
