He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Kurczewski and Harriet Kurczewski (Podkowinski); his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Flynn; and his brother Thaddeus "Ted" Kurczewski (Joanne). He is survived by: his children, Michael Kurczewski (Susan) of Jackson, MI, Ian Kurczewski of Jackson, MI and Amy Koontz (Edward) of Troy, MI; his grandchildren, Jason Sharp, Christopher Steele, Matthew Koontz and Megan Koontz; his great grandchildren, Spencer and Tessa; and his sister Harriet "Kay" Nasser (George) of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 9:00 AM and at 1:00 PM. The military honors was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the David C. Brown Funeral Home (460 E Huron River Dr, Belleville, MI 48111). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (409 W Columbia Ave, Belleville, MI 48111).
