She was predeceased by: her parents, Lex Coate and Mary Coate (Gebhart); her husband Charles Shoemaker; and her siblings, Avis Nix and James Coate.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Shoemaker (Jane) of Sunnyvale and Peggy Curtis of Belleville; her grandchildren, Kristin Rochon (Mike) of Belleville, Matthew Shoemaker (Julie) of Bloomington and Chad Shoemaker (Ana) of Lake Forest; and her great grandchildren, Gunnar Rochon, Charlee Rochon, Sofia Shoemaker, Willow Shoemaker and Sydney Shoemaker. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the Belleville High School softball or baseball team in Marjorie's memory.
