He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Theodore and Alice Catherine Wenzel, Sr. (Agge); his wife Patricia Ann Wenzel (Felske); his mother-in-law Ann Felske; his uncle Harvey "Happy" Wenzel; his brothers, Marvin C. Wenzel, Arthur T. Wenzel, Jr. and John "Mego" Wenzel; and his sister-in-law Sherry Wenzel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kara Ann Wenzel (Noah Meyers) of Washington, DC and Katy L. W. Paiva (Brent) of St. Louis; his grandson Bennett Wenzel Paiva; his father-in-law Richard Felske; his sister Kae Hartford (Jay) of Belleville, MI; his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Wenzel of Wayne, MI.; and his pet Maggie May. He is also survived by extended family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard Wenzel's name, can be made to Van Buren Public Schools-Elementary Libraries, and would be appreciated by the family.
