He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lindsay and Vearl Lindsay (Craven); his wife Jewell Evans; his son Russ Lindsay; his son-in-law Rich Lindsay; his great grandchild Nora Lindsay; his siblings, Edwin, Lyle, Howard, Duane, James, Arthur, Eunice and Esther; his siblings-in-law, Wayne Covey, Bob Lambert, Carl Censke, Larry Cole, Billy Evans, Jim Evans and Leah Lindsay (Cantrell); and his grandmothers, McDaniels, Wilma Lindsay (Fields) and Shirley Evans (Feeney).
He is survived by: his children, Pauline Brittain (Gary), Jeff Lindsay (Katrina), Calvin Lindsay (Laurie), Joan Lindsay, Michael Lindsay and Leanna (Josh Zaluga); his daughter-in-law Jenn Lindsay; his sisters, Neva Censke, Sarah Cole and Verna Meneguzzo (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Charlie Evans (Dorothy), Buddy Evans (Jackie) and Janie Evans.
