She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond John and Virginia John (LaFevre); her daughter Janet Clarke; and her brother Ray John. She is survived by: her husband Sherman Whitaker; her daughters, Judi Whitaker of Battle Creek and Susi Whitaker of Bellevue, Michigan; her grandchildren, Jonathan Whitaker (Lindsey) and Cameron Clarke; and her sister Susan Dopp (Clyde) of South Haven, Michigan..
