He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Joan Lawton (Geoff), David Diephouse (Marie Quillan) and Elizabeth Shoemaker (Betsy); his grandchildren, Alexis Lawton, Andrew Lawton, Katelyn Lawton, Zackary Shoemaker and Katrina Shoemaker; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Schripsema (Beverly) and Janet Lindsey (Larry).
