He is survived by: his wife Edna Ruth Roberts; his brother Lee Chess Roberts; his daughters, Rosetta Allison of California, Cawana Maxie, Vickie Joiner-Hudson of Benton Harbor, Nieta Loubeau (Jacques) of Virginia and Denise Ware; his nephew Keith Davis of Baroda; his sisters-in-law, Ceretha Richardson, Glennice Rogers of St. Louis, Missouri, Odessa Ludington of Chicago, Illinois and Majorie Roberts of Louisiana; his close friend Doyle Brown; and his goddaughters, Kathy, Pam, Karyn and Tina. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
