She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Shaw and Lola Shaw (Dean); her stepfather Alan Cristy; her husband Warren Kester; and her brothers, Clifford Shaw Jr. (Sonny) and William Cristy (Bill).

She is survived by: her children, Alan Keyser (Maria), Kristine Lassitter (Randy), Kenneth Kester and Brian Kester; her grandchildren, Brandon Keyser, Aaron Keyser, Kyle Kester, Morgan Kester, Sara Fable, Kevin Kester, Matthew Lassitter and Kimberly Lassitter; and her great grandchildren, Bradley, Addison and Sylas. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.
