She was predeceased by: her grandmother Viola Paige-Young; her aunt Bertha Lee Tolson; her uncle Arthur Lee Johnson; her granddaughter Christal Rain Johnson; and her mother Eleanor Lee Johnson.
She is survived by: her family Benton Harbor; her children, LaToya Weatherspoon, Karla Boyd of Benton Harbor, MI, Dolan Johnson of Puyallup, WA, Keith Weatherspoon Sr. (Camille) and Jermaine Weatherspoon Sr.; her sister Linda F. Clabin (Ohio); and her siblings-in-law, Ritchie Weatherspoon (Tammy), Emmanuel Weatherspoon and Sandra Isom (James). She is also survived by Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
