He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Barrett and Gracie Barrett (Daugherty); his wife Brenda; his son James Jr.; and his siblings, Lilly, Billie, Mary, Ruby, Sue, Bill and Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Wachowiak (Joshua), Dana French (Gary), Karla Pepple (Joe) and Jason Barrett (Katherine); his grandchildren, Corissa, Tia, McKenna, Julia, Lucy, John and Josh; and his great grandchildren, Arya and Clara.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home (6548 Paw Paw Ave, Coloma, MI 49038). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
