John Arthur Schmuhl Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Arthur Schmuhl of Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schmuhl and Margaret Schmuhl (Boynton); and his brother Charles Schmuhl. He is survived by: his children, John Schmuhl (Debbie) of Millburg, Carol Dansfield (Jim) of St. Joseph and Ronald Schmuhl (Lisa) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Patience Moghtader (Justin), Paige Muvva (Jay), John Dansfield (Megan), Blake Dansfield (Jenny), Brooke Ledesma, Brittney Yorton (Garret), John Schmuhl, Breanna Schmuhl and Andreana Schmuhl; and his great grandchild Felix Moghtader. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church - Benton Harbor (555 E Delaware Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard Church.
