She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilson Williams and Claudia Rouse Hutchings; her husband Eugene "Buddy" Ross; and her children, Joe Ross of Benton Harbor, MI, Rosemary "Sista" Anderson of Benton Harbor, MI, Cheryl Sisson of Benton Harbor, MI, Carolyn Ross of Benton Harbor, MI, Charlie Ross of Benton Harbor, MI, Jennifer Tharpe of Benton Harbor, MI, Willie and John Ross.

She is survived by : her sister Mattie "Doll" Newton (Alexander) of Macon, GA; her brother-in-law James Ross (Katherine) of Albany, NY.; her siblings, Norman Smith Jr., Frank "Freeman" Rouse Jr., Katie "Lil Ma" Bostick Gooley and Rosebud "Teenie" Shinholster; and her great grandchildren, Anialy Richardson, LeeTae Anderson and Tywon Williams. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 61 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Israelite Missionary Baptist Church (1715 Highland Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at the Crystal Springs Cemetery (1655 E Napier Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022).
