Roger E. Mathewson Obituary
We announce the death of Roger E. Mathewson of Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 74. Roger will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Roger will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Roger’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamoine "Matt" Mathewson and Martha Mathewson (Kurbis); and his brother-in-law Bob Langfeldt. He is survived by: his children, Sara Mathewson of Juneau, WI and Scott Mathewson (Tyfani) of Ripon; and his siblings, Joy Langfeldt of Bridgman, MI and Rodney Mathewson (Diane) of Goshen, IN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
The military honors will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Park (N5397 Co Rd A, Green Lake, WI 54941). A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ripon American Legion Post 43 (113 E Fond du Lac St, Ripon, WI 54971).
