He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife L. Virginia Bacon; his children, Michael Bacon (Jane), Michele Bacon and Melissa Guthrie (Brian); and his stepsons, David Goforth (Tamara), William Goforth (Jacalyn) and Jeffrey Goforth (Jennifer). He was also cherished by His family grew to include twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
