He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren A. Shafer and Dorothy L. Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Janet A. Bixby; his children, Gregg (Carol), Michael (Tami) and Tami (Rusty); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Amanda (Joseph), Ryan, Jessica (J. J.), Brandan (Madison), Colin (Marissa), Joshua (Lindsay) and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Keegan, Avery, Theodore and Emma; his brother Richard; and his sibling's children, Kory and Rochelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
