With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Dowden Pittman in Berrien Springs, Michigan, who passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Maxine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Maxine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theresa Rose Jones Dowden and Malcolm Earnest Dowden. She is survived by: her husband Thomas D. Pittman; her daughter L. Monique Pittman; her son-in-law Paul D. Smith, Jr.; her nieces, Cheryl Dowden and Lori Mitchell Roeser; and her nephew Kenneth Mitchell.
