He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Joseph Lanning and Margaret Lanning (Peterson); his wife Marie Ramsey; and his siblings, Cile Nabors (Mark) of San Antonio, Texas, Scott Lanning (Sue Lewis) of Hubbard, Oregon, Joyce "Tina" Dietzgen of Marion and Greg Kennedy (Elvie) of Cedar Rapids. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
