She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Arthur Anderson Aaron and Mary Elizabeth Tanner; her siblings, Walker and Wendy Chalfont; her grandparents, Wilson Pennell Tanner, Esther Marie Rayman Tanner, Herman Aaron and Julia Hawks Jones Aaron; her former life partner Donald Edward Slagel; her sons, Peter, Cage and Zachary; and her husband Don Schaffer. She was also cherished by her children and grandchildren, and her wide circle of extended family and dear friends.
