He is survived by: his family, Käse and Schwarzbrot; his child Gene (Geno); his wife Diane; his sisters, Carla and Karen; and his children, Geno (Ellen), Eric (Megan), Lindsay, Carrie, Amy, Anselm (Sabrina), Adelia (Matt) and Henry.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or School.
