We are sad to announce that, on December 12, 2025, at the age of 47, John A. Cassidy Jr. (Big Rapids, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Grandpa Boerma (Grandma Boerma) and Grandpa Cassidy (Grandma Cassidy); his stepfather Kenneth Johnston; his uncle Neil Noordyke; his niece Katelin Cassidy; and his cousins, Scott Cassidy and Jonathan Boerma.
He is survived by: his parents, John Cassidy Sr. and Nicki Johnston (Boerma); his stepmother Doni; his brother Wayne Cassidy (April); his son Finn Cassidy; his close friend Teresa O'Neil; his grandchildren, Layla, Mallory and Gerald; his stepsiblings, Niki Stricker, Shelby Sheler, Kelley Reitzel, Jason Johnston, Elizabeth Ottobre and Paul Ottobre; his nephews, Samuel, Andrew and Gabriel; his close friends, Dave Whipple, Mark Caudy, Travis Kizer, Grace Heethuis, Jake Stilson, Travis Judd, Mike O'Neil, John Archie Rinck, Ben and Sofia Carter; Sarah Cassidy, Maverick and Makaylah. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Finn Cassidy's college fund, which is in the care of Sarah Cassidy.
