He is survived by: his parents, Paul Wernette and Suzanne Hossler; his wife Emma Wernette; his son Jon Wernette (Friends); his sisters, Kimberly VanNuil (Jerry), Suzanne Block and Michelle Sarns (Darin); his nieces and nephews, Tyler Wernette, Kimberly Petersen (Don), Lauren Block, Dylan Block and Castor Weiers; and his cousins, Jerry Riojas and Thomas Munger.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Campus Parish (1 Damascus Rd, Big Rapids, MI 49307).
