It is with sadness that the passing of Julie Hoisington (Big Rapids, Michigan) is shared. Julie, born on March 1, 1949 in Lakeview, Michigan, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Julie will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Julie by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Julie is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Julie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hansen and Pauline Hansen (Rekney); and her brother Robert Hansen. She is survived by: her husband Jack Hoisington; and her children, Kimberly Howe (David) of Alaska, Christopher Hoisington (Heather) of Colorado and Jennifer Spicer (Robert) of Big Rapids. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes (13985 Northland Dr, Big Rapids, MI 49307).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Rescue Coalition or the Mecosta Senior Center, organizations that were close to Julie's heart.
